Project & project group
Projects and project groups are the two basic organizational units of Mailik that allow the defining and grouping of your websites form responses.
Project groups
Project groups enable far more efficient management of projects with multiple development environments (for example: development, production, testing). With project groups, you can control which mailboxes receive emails from a particular environment - this is especially important for managing projects that are carried out within a specific segmentation. It also applies to the collection of forms related to marketing, sales and support.
There is no limit to the number of project groups, so project segmentation will work for any company size, regardless of the industry in which it operates. Each project has a number of associated URLs and emails that can be changed at any time, and each project is automatically assigned a Public key for connecting it with the email source element (form, survey, questionnaire or anything else).
Projects
Project is a basic Mailik unit. Projects are created under Project Groups to make management easier for use-cases with multiple development environments (eg. develop, testing and production).
Each project must have a:
- name,
- project group it belongs to,
- at least one email address for sending messages.
Additionally every project is automatically assigned:
- a public key which is used to connect it to the frontend element responsible for retrieving data from your website users (i.e. a form, survey, questionnaire).
Projects can also have associated URLs to allow sending emails only from a specified domain, you will be notified if someone tries to send emails with your project public key from not allowed URLs.
